Exodus 20:11 says, For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, all in them, but He rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.
We as Christians believe that Sabbath day is Lord’s Holy day. It is the day when God took rest after the finished work of creation and is the day when Jesus Christ was resurrected from death. So we ought to take rest on this day from all the other works to remain in His word and praise & worship Him and to be in His tangible presence by manifestation power of the Holy Spirit.
