For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth) and find out what pleases the Lord. Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.
Ephesians 5:8-11 NIV
These words reminds us that we are the Children of Light.
👉By virtue of God through gospel of Christ opened our eyes and turned us from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, and forgave us from all our sins by faith in God.
👉Therefore, we have to live a life as a Children of Light. The evidences of such children will be recognised by the fruits of the holy Spirit, they are Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.
👉These fruits have emerged from the deposits in our hearts put by God in Christ Jesus they are all goodness, righteousness and truth.
👉Therefore, find out: that means we have to keep searching and seeking for the acts and thoughts which pleases the Lord. One such example will be to flee the evil desires of the youth, and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace.
👉In doing so have nothing to do with fruitless deeds of darkness not even an hint of Sexual immorality, impurity, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, jealousy, extreme anger, selfish ambition, division, envy, drunkenness and the like but rather if you find anyone involved expose them.
👉Hence, I and we all will live as Children of Light, we will find out what pleases God and we will expose the deeds of darkness. This is not just one time activity but an ongoing one in our Christian lives.
