So I tell you this, and insist on it in the Lord, that you must no longer live as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their thinking. They are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts. Having lost all sensitivity, they have given themselves over to sensuality so as to indulge in every kind of impurity, and they are full of greed. That, however, is not the way of life you learned
Ephesians 4:17-20 NIV
Paul here continues to exhort the Church at Ephesus. He says that since you have been saved by God in Christ Jesus and you have Learned the way of the life. You are now the follower of Christ by virtue of surrender life to Jesus and you have an unique relationship with Christ and His Church. Given this fact you must not turn back or behave or practice what the gentiles or the unbelievers do. You were once like that gentile:
👉 What ever they do is against God.
👉They are separated from the life of God.
👉They are doing it willfully.
👉Their hearts are darkened.
👉 They are ignorant.
👉 They are insensitive
,👉They indulge in immorality.
👉They are greedy.
👉 They are impure.
👉Their thinking is futile.
Hence, my dear folks let us focus un to Jesus and recommit to Him our surrendered life.
