Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbor, for we are all members of one body. “In your anger do not sin” : Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold.

Paul is now explaining how one should put on our new self, as old is gone, “therefore” is a word used by Paul here it means that in continuation of what he said earlier.
👉We have to be truthful in our behaviour and in conversation with others. We should not hide and have any secrets while sharing our lives with our near and dear ones, and with our families and with our friends and other relatives, particularly those who belong to Christ and His Church. In other words whatever we share we have to be truthful and not hide the truth or tell any form of lies.
👉 Another one Paul puts it here for us to act is to forgive one another what ever may be the issue. Even if the person for whatever reason has hurt you, you go to him/her and ask forgiveness and forgive. Here Paul insists that forgiving to be done as early as possible. When forgive someone for any deeds you should forget what they have done. That means choose to forget after forgiving. If you remember while bring into any thoughts or conversation means you have not yet forgiven that person. Therefore forgive and forget. Other wise the consequences are that the devil will have a say in your situation and take you for a huge ride and put you in deep trouble. It will bring division and strained relationships and lots of health issues.
