In the same way, you who are younger, submit yourselves to your elders. All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because, “God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.”
1 Peter 5:5 NIV
👉 If you want to grow in the Lord, if you want to grow in your personal life, if you want to please God, if you want to have peace and joy, then submit to your elders.
👉 Ephesians 5:21 says
Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.
it is the order placed by God in Family, Church and in Society. We can see much cooperation, productivity, improvement, progress, multiplication, enhancement, consistency, strength, encouragement, peace from all sides, joy and elimination of corruption and evil desires.
👉Submit yourselves for the Lord’s sake to every human authority: whether to the emperor, as the supreme authority, or to governors, who are sent by him to punish those who do wrong and to commend those who do right. Show proper respect to everyone, love the family of believers, fear God, honor the emperor.
1 Peter 2:13-14, 17 NIV
👉We Submit because we have a new identity in Christ.
But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.
1 Peter 2:9 NIV
👉 Fear or reverence to Christ or God is the beginning of Wisdom.. So, Submission to one another is wisdom.
