So the wall was completed on the twenty-fifth of Elul, in fifty-two days. When all our enemies heard about this, all the surrounding nations were afraid and lost their self-confidence, because they realized that this work had been done with the help of our God.
Nehemiah 6:15-16 NIV
We will continue with the leadership lesson from the book of Nehemiah. We saw how Nehemiah mooted the Vision of rebuilding the ruined walls of Jerusalem. We looked into various aspects of leadership. He pursued the Vision with every odds. Let us see what Nehemiah did in those days of great opposition from the enemy to continue the God given Vision.
👉14th lesson even when there is a redicule or a slight opposition. You should be determined to complete the Vision or project in hand. And tell the enemy that “The God of heaven will give us success”. Secondly say to the enemy that “we will start the work or project in hand and you are not in or part of us.” Keep the enemy at bay by saying you don’t have any rights. See Neh. 2: 19-20
👉15th lesson Nehemiah had a strategy to complete the Vision. He involved people and trusted them. See Neh. 3: 1-32.
👉16th lesson work with all your heart fully dedicated to complete the vision. Neh. 4:6
👉17th lesson even when there is a discouragement from the enemy pursue the vision. Focus unto God who gave you the vision. Encourage the people involved too. Neh. 4: 1-5.
👉18th lesson when enemy gathers momentum to stop the vision from fruition you will have to stepup the defence. Neh. 4: 7-9
👉19th Do the risk analysis thoroughly. Do not leave any gap in doing the risk analysis. Strategies the move in defending the enemy. The people involved will be weakened at this time even looking at the circumstances people will be demotivated. Neh. 4: 10-14.
👉20th have a plan and execute with the tools that you can get hold off.
👉21st Communicate to the people involved in adverse situations reassuring the plan and the vision and how we are going ahead, envisaging the future how it would look keeping the focus unto God and knowing the facts that God himself will fight for us. Neh. 4:13-14.
👉22nd Get the feedback or know the enemy well and his moves. Neh. 4:15.
